Hi, in compounding multiple ultrasound volumes in ImFusion, I found weighted radial mean compounding, which compounds the voxel intensities based on the radial distance from the US volume centres. Is there any published paper or study available on this implementation?

I am unsure what I can provide that would be more descriptive than what you already paraphrased from the documentation:
The final voxel value is determined as the weighted average of the input volumes’ voxel values at that location, with the per input weights chosen proportional to the distance of the input voxel from the volume center.
