Hello!

Hello Santiago,
You can try Import → Dicom File/Folder with “Ultrasound GE” checked in the open dialog.
Best,
Steffen
Hi Steffen,
I have already loaded the DICOM file (using the GE option), but it is recognized as a 2D image (screen capture 3dvol.png - Google Drive ). However, it is actually a 3D volume, I can open it with other software (TomoVision) and confirm that it is indeed a 3D.
I am interested in image fusion (US-MR) and looking for software that allows me to open my 3D volumes, convert them to other formats such as NIfTI, and perform registration with MRI.
The volume was acquired using a GE Logiq E10 scanner.
Am I doing something wrong, or is there an alternative way to work with my 3D volumes?
Hi Santiago,
It should work if the file contains scanline data. I will clarify whether we also support loading of scan-converted 3D volumes from GE DICOMs and get back to you.
Would it be possible to share the DICOM with us to figure out what might be the issue?
Best,
Steffen
Hi Santiago,
Thanks for sharing the file. I can read the 3D ultrasound volume without problems.
Which version of the ImFusion Suite are you using? It has to include the Ultrasound module. Could you try with the Demo ImFusion 3D Ultrasound Suite, please?
Best,
Steffen
I followed the link and installed version 3.8.1, but I’m still only able to load the DICOM file as a 2D image.
I just tried again with the US demo version 3.8.1 and this is what I get:
Could you please send us the full log (what’s inside the red box at the bottom of the screenshot) after trying to load the file.
Thanks,
Steffen
Thank you! It works now. I realized I had two versions of ImFusion installed and was accidentally using the wrong one. I assume that with the full version, I’ll be able to export as NIfTI, since that option is currently disabled, correct?
Glad it works! Yes, with the full version you can also export as NIfTI.
