Integration of Verasonics with ImFusion

Hello,

I am starting to brainstorm how to transfer images generated from my Verasonics ultrasound system into the ImFusion Suite. I have read this ImFusion forum post about streaming images from custom hardware but I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to integrate it specifically with the Verasonics system.

Based on the post, I would think I need to use the ImageStream class to poll Verasonics’ Image Buffer but it’s not clear to me how I can do that given that the Verasonics system uses MATLAB. Has anyone at ImFusion had experience with streaming images from a Verasonics system? Should I create an image stream from a screen recording of the Verasonics ultrasound image window?

Hi Joshua,

Well, with the MATLAB interface, it’s indeed tricky, and we have never even attempted to do that.
Good news is that Verasonics released a C-based API recently so that you don’t have to use MATLAB for that. And, as it turns out, we’ve already been working on an integration, which is about to be released in a few weeks. Unless it’s urgent, I’d recommend not to spend too much time on making this work. We can work out the details of this offline.
