Hi,

I saw in the Atracsys Tracking Plugin page,

Structured Light Reconstruction: Query structured light images and reconstruct surfaces (spryTrack 300 only)

with spryTrack 300, how should I do surface reconstruction exactly using this plugin?

Hi Keqing,

it seems that something made it into the high-level documentation that is not already part of our general SDK. This feature is not supported yet in the latest release (4.4). The good news is that this is scheduled for our summer release in June. So I’ll have to ask you to wait a few more weeks. With the upcoming release, there will be the option to:

  • query structured light images and RGB images from the SpryTrack 300
  • run a 3D surface reconstruction algorithm to obtain depth information (depth image or point cloud) on queried images
  • stream the 3D reconstruction live together with optical tracking

I will update this post with more details how to do the surface reconstruction from the Suite or the SDK once the release 4.5 is out.
